UN's IPCC Report on Climate Change Dire For the Oceans
9/25/2019 (Permalink)
This year's report by the United Nation's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change gives dire warnings about the state of our planets oceans and polar ice caps. The oceans are warming at a much faster rate than the land and the impact could be devastating for marine life and for those of us who live along the coastline. We have recently seen the impacts of these warmer oceans in Hurricane Dorian, Hurricane Harvey & even Hurricane/Tropical Storm Imelda. Hurricane Harvey & Imelda both hit Houston TX hard with heavy rains and flooding the later of which the city and surrounding areas are still in recovery. Here in Rhode Island, we will need to be prepared for the next storm that comes our way. Our experienced team of technicians were part of the recovery in Houston in 2018 and will be ready to help out when the next storm hits.
