Satellite image & path of Tropical Storm Alex passing over the Atlantic Ocean.. SERVPRO of Washington County provides 24 hour water damage repair service, call us now, 401-315-2337

The first named storm of the 2022 Hurricane Season formed after making landfall and drenching southern Florida with record amounts of rain. Tropical Storm Alex is now no longer a threat to cause further damage on land as it makes it's way out into the Atlantic. Around the same time this tropical depression organized and became a storm the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration updated their prediction for storm activity this hurricane season to be even more active than previously anticipated. The Administration and scientist at Colorado State University now believe there will be 20 named storms, 10 hurricanes, and 5 hurricanes that will reach category 3 or higher.

SERVPRO is prepared help if a major storm makes landfall here in New England or anywhere in the country if our services are in demand. We understand the number of people and amount of equipment it takes to recover property after a major hurricane. We have been on site after major storms from New York, to Texas to Florida and bring years of experience to the table when called upon to lead a restoration team successfully.

Flood damage and repair should be the #1 concern of most property owners during a major hurricane and rain event. Although many worry about the effects of high winds and downed trees, the damage from flooding can be far more wide spread and devastating to a home during a hurricane or tropical storm event. In recent years the most property damage reported has been after large hurricanes have made landfall, weakened, but continued to drop large amounts of rain. These flash flooding events are responsible for millions of dollars of property damage every year.

Hopefully none of the major storms predicted for this hurricane season will make landfall... but In this event one does, we will be prepared to help, 24/7/365.
